The creative juices are still flowing but still nothing has been put to paper. Most of it is just ideas relating to conlangs. One of the ideas I have, Lodara, was this like, super complicated mess of base roots that have affixes added to them to become different words. I'm like 90% sure you could make it work but version 1.0 of Lodara certainly fried my brain and it's really just a dumb way to avoid using Semitic roots. But having now read some on them (just Wikipedia pages tbh. Yes, Wikipedia has replaced Reddit for me) it's honestly much simpler than I thought, at least in Arabic; presumably it's similar in other Semitic languages but the Arabic articles are the ones I read. And Arabic is kind of a nightmare just because of Form I verbs (which have a lot of variance) and no set-in-stone rules for forming nouns, but the other verb forms are regular and there are general word forms for nouns. I'm not gonna just copy Arabic or another Semitic language, I am gonna make my own rules, but the main part is just that I would want to actually make a proto-language first for this one. I've also had some scattered story ideas but I think I'm gonna stick to the original story ideas I had for now. It's not like they're incompatible or anything, the latter are just more well-formed and more what I want to write, while the new story ideas are basically worldbuilding.
